Are those Browning A bolt in 308 good shooter?

I have 3 Browning A-Bolts.  A 22 Hornet, 7mm WSM and 300 WSM.  They all will stay under an inch and they came out of the box like that.  The only thing I've done to them is lighten the triggers to 3 lbs.

I have a new Composite Stalker in 270 WSM and I am shooting less than an inch group and I am not real steady. I love it.

I have a .243 and a .30-06. They both will shoot less than an 1" for three shots, and come close with 5 shots. I am very happy with them.

Every A-Bolt that I have owned would shoot great (and I have owned quite a few). Anything in .308 will shoot,it is one of the most accurate rounds out there and is very easy to handload for.I dont think you can go wrong with your choice.

I own 2 of the original A-Bolts, one in .270 Winchester and the other in 7mm Rem Mag.  Both guns shoot under an inch at 100, and with certain factory loads, my .270 can almost shoot through the same hole.

Some gunsmiths have told me that the original A-Bolts are better than the newer A-Bolt IIs.  I don't know if this is true and, if it is, why that is.  But I can tell you that if the newer A-Bolt IIs are almost as good as the original A-Bolts, then you should do just fine.

It should'nt matter what caliber in an a-bolt you chose it'll shoot under an inch group at 100 yds.My stainless stalker 243 will do it all day!

I owned one in 308, a lefty.  Very fine rifle.
