Passed the legislators and rendell has signed the bill.  Change will be in affect for this hunting season but passed after the books were printed.  Many thanks to the ppha for their work to get this law changed.  I do not believe that this change changes the statis of night vision scopes which as far as I understand are still illegal.

Ah! I didn't know there was even a change in the works. I think it's a good change. I am always alone when I hunt fox. So, at 4:30 in the morning (I get up early....cause I'm too tired to go out at 10:00 o'clock at night.. ::) ) I always find it "interesting" to aim the gun, and aim the light...then shoot the gun. Right now I have the light mounted to my shooting stick. I dunno...I'm so use to that I may keep it that way.

I read the law change. Actually, you can't attach the light to your gun and scan with the light attached to your gun. You have to scan with the light, then when you identify the game, you can attach the light to your gun....then shoot the game.

So, like I said, I'm so use to having my light attached to my shooting stick, I may just leave it that way.  ::)
