360 pd question
« on: June 27, 2007, 02:20:12 PM »
I have my 360pd for about 4 months now. All told I have shot 200 rounds of 38 special and 50 rounds of 357 mag. I went to shoot it Monday and noticed that it had a rattle to whenever I picked it up. I shook it and it rattled more. Does anyone elses J fram  have this rattle? The reason I ask is because my brother in laws does not rattle. After contacting Smith about the problem they sent me an email saying that this rattle was normal. I do know that I'm not going to shoot it till I find out more about the rattle. Any help would be great.

I just checked my Model 360PD and there is no rattle.  I have shot about three times as much as you.  I also checked my Model 60 and there is no rattle.  I checked my Model 357PD and there is a slight rattle.  It comes from the rear sight moving and is within tolerances according to S&W tech.  Of course, all guns were unloaded or the shells would rattle in the cylinder.  That is all I can tell you.  MV out!
