bronze tube for a barrell?

would bearing grade bronze be suitable to build a mtn howitzer out of?  golf ball caliber with a sub chamber 1.5"

Three things go together.
1. Quality Materials
2. Good design.
3. Prudent use (loadings, practices).

The design MUST take into account the materials AND the loadings and use.

So, qualified 'yes' - if the design and use are appropriate.
