Mossberg 1500 Rifle??
« on: June 24, 2007, 05:07:47 AM »
I just purchased a 1500 in 243Win with a scope chief  3-9 scope on it for $ 399.00. It has a Black stock and is in very good condition. i will be using it for my Yote/Predator Rifle and will be putting a Sightron SIi 3-12x44 on top. Has anyone used one of these rifles and if so how did they shoot? I know it's a Howa with the Mossy name on top. Thanks Jess ??? ???

The Howa 1500/Mossy 1500/S&W 1500/ Weatherby Vanguard is a fine rifle.  I like that action better than I do the remington 700 when it comes to a pushfeed action.  I've suggested that rifle to lots of friends and all have been happy with their purchase.

i had one in .30-06 and it would put all loads into 2 inches at 100 yards with an old Bushnell 4X Scopechief. i regret selling it.

Have one in 22-250 with a heavy barrel. Shoot factory ammo under an inch and has little problem doing better with reloads. Has nice factory wood on it. Definitely a good investment and shooter.
Shoot safely.....shoot tomorrow.

I bought a 30-06 15 years ago and still use it as my primary rifle. It has been a lot fun to experiment with. It is simply a good basic rifle that puts the bullets where they are supposed to go. I picked it up at a pawn shop with a scope for $285. It is a great rifle.

I own a Howa in .308Win. It is a fantastic bolt rifle for the money. The Howa 1500 gives up nothing to Rem/Win/Ruger.
