Question about sportster 22 mag
« on: June 23, 2007, 11:45:51 AM »
Does the sportster version of the 22 mag barrel come drilled and tapped for scope?  It is listed with open sights, but no mention of drilled or not.

Yes, ALL current production H&R rifle barrels are drilled and tapped for a scope rail, even those that come with sights as standard. If you want a scope rail instead of sights, just add the rail and hammer ext for $18, they won't give you a discount for leaving the sights off, but if you want to add sights to a barrel that doesn't come with them, it'll cost you an extra $47!! If you don't want sights at all on a barrel that comes with sights, you can get the scope rail in lieu of the sights at no additional cost, but the barrel will come ready for the sights.

They've switched to a dovetail rear sight now, there's sticky on that topic above this thread.
