Ask Clint how he shipped my stock, I still haven't got it yet, he said he shipped it last Sunday, if he shipped it parcel post or UPS, it ain't here yet, if he shipped it Priority mail, it should have been here Wednesday. I email him about it and asked how it was shipped, but he didn't tell me, just said it was shipped Sunday. :(

Tim

Tim,

I think they are using FED EX, at least that is what Tom (must work with/for Clint) told me on the phone last Saturday morning. I also talked to Clint on the phone last Saturday around noon, but forgot to ask what shipper he was using for sure. My call was to verify the type of recoil pads, seems that there might be stocks with 3 different types of pads installed. Pachmayr Decelerator, Boyds (thin curved profile like yours), and the standard H&R/NEF. He e-mailed me Tuesday that he recieved my MO, said they would ship out Wednesday. I was hoping to get them before the 4th, but sounds like it may be later. :'(

I'll be disappointed if he shipped it Fedex, I gave him my PO Box, he didn't ask for a street address after payment which he should  have knowing Fedex can't deliver to me there. :(

I really expected it to be shipped Priority mail, flat rate is less than $9 thru Click N ship, 99% of all my Ebay purchases have been shipped to me that way, but if it was, I shoulda got it midweek, it never takes more than 3 days, 2 days is the norm. :-\

Got it, was shipped parcel post on Monday. :-\

Looks good, has the Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad, stock is a perfect match for the camo lam forend, I put it on the 7x57 that I just bought from Danny. I hope Wally is smiling down upon it from heaven. ;)

Looks very nice Tim. Tom didn't sound too sure when he told me FedEx. I did ask Clint in an e-mail if he would let me know which way it would be shipped, and a tracking number if possible. He must be too busy for that? I haven't figured out exactly which guns will be getting the stocks, but I would like to put the Nutmeg one on my Huntsman if NEF would make a cin forend to match. I'm thinking the 20 ga Ultra Slug Hunter will be getting the Forest Camo.

Boyd's does have some lefty thumbhole stocks, I looked at their web site this today after getting home from the PO.  I showed the clerk that waited on me the stock, we worked together before I retired and he's a hunter/shooter himself, and a lefty too, same thing he said, it's made backwards for him!!  :D

How many days has it been taking you guys to get your thumbhole stocks once they have been shipped? Mine were shipped on 6-26-07, it is 7-5-07 and no sign of them yet. I know the 4th is in there, but I can't believe it takes that long to ship something less than 800 miles. I sent my money order out on Saturday 6-23, and they received it on Tuesday 6-26, and there was a Sunday in there.

E-bay says:  Standard Flat Rate Shipping Service
Shipped on: Jun-26-07

Sure hope the postal gorillas aren't treating them like Samsonite luggage. :'(

Just getting a little impatient. ;)

Sorry to hear this...especially since I have TWO coming thru Ebay!!! My first on the 27th and the second the 29th.

OH, Its NOT the mail... as the hornet stuff I bought from SHANE arrived today and that was shipped to me on Monday!! :'(

Hopefully both of ours will arrive shortly!!! ;D

BTW, I bit the bullet today....another Handi making its way to my safe!!  This one is a STD model chambered in 22 Hornet.
I was looking at what I have for barrels and receivers and an additional receiver is in order.

I have to get a H&R base...anyone ordered direct from H&R? Are they prompt?

I paid for mine long before it was shipped on Monday the 25th, got it by standard mail, aka parcel post, on Saturday the 1st.

Brownell's sells the scope rail for the same price as H&R sells it with the hammer extension, if you want one from H&R, better get it ordered quick, they're gonna close up shop for 2 weeks sometime this summer. ;) They usually get stuff right out, but not always, took me a month to get 3 rails last year, had to call em back and and reorder a couple stocks within the last month. :-\

Tim

EDITED: I just realized I'm out of scope rails, went back to Brownell's, once you put the rail in your basket, it shows including the extension. If you order 1 or 2 rails, you can get by with $4.25 shipping, but if you order 3 or more, shipping is over $9.

Tim, if I'd known that rifle would look that good, I'd have kept it!  Seriously, it looks great.  I hope it shoots as well as it looks.  Wally would be proud to know someone who appreciates the caliber has it.  Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Thanks Danny, I had hoped to shoot it last week, but that didn't happen, will try again next Week. I've had some 140gr Ballistic Silvertip ammo loaded for it since a couple days after I got the barrel, I'm real anxious to shoot it!! ;D

Has anyone found the elusive " 3/8" - 24 x 2" Socket Button Head Cap Screw " at a National Chain Store such as Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.??? I checked the local hardware stores, Lumber Yards, Bolt Supply, but nobody has this bolt. :'( I checked out Quicks link, but they want a $10 minimum order and unless I buy Stainless Bolts, I would need to buy at least 7 of the standard ones.

The mailman came and went again today, no stocks yet. :'( That's 10 days (240 hours) to go less than 800 miles, I can walk faster than that. ;) ;D

I guess I am screwed until I can find some bolts anyway.  :-\

You would think for the 12-15 bucks he is charging for shipping he would send it Priority. ::) But no can't pass on making another buck or two. ??? The socket head bolts I got work ok they stick out a little but I didn't notice it all when I shot my 357max. Ill try to get a pick later since I got a new camera for my B-day. ;D

Update on the elusive stock bolt. Stopped by TSC, The Home Depot, Menards, and a couple more hardware stores today. Nobody had the one we need. The FASTENAL place wasn't open on Saturday, so I'm not sure if they will have it or not.

Guess it don't matter anyways, not stocks yet.

cowboyup453,

That is a nice looking rig you have there. I bought a couple of the same bolt, just so I can mount the stocks, if they ever get here. I will still try to get the button heads, but a little grinding and some black paint could get that bolt down flush I think. How long did it take yours to get there?

If these are the button cap ones that you use a allen wrench on, I'd like one if you would pick one up for me.  Just let me know how much I need to send out.  Thanks Tim ;D
