I have had one of the model 1951 Helwans for at least the last 20 years.
It is a licensed copy of the model 1951 Beretta (Brigadier) and was made in Egypt.
It is an excellent shooter. And if I could find another one I would purchase it.
It is as accurate as any 9mm Handgun I have fired (Which is most current manufacturers
and most others as well) Other than rounding off a few sharp edges, the only work
I have done to it is to mirror polish the feed ramp and chamber mouth (it was kind of sharp also
but I do this to all my semi-autos)
I could not possibly count the number of rounds that have been through this pistol.
And as far as I can remember it has never jammed or failed to fire.
There were some +2 magazines created for them but I have not been successful finding any.
Some folks will Question the strength of Egyptian steel, but this has never been a real issue.
