I have a brand new Tikka T3 Stainless in .243. I have never shot this gun! I have a 300 WSM Tikka I use and love, so I am a huge fan of Sako's Tikka brand rifles. I just got my latest July/August edition of Petersen's Rifle Shooter in and it was talking about the 240 Weatherby. It really looks to outshine the 243 and 6mm. Is it possible to rechamber my Tikka 243 to the 240 Weatherby? What would be the downside to that? Would the tikka polymer mag work with the cartridge? What other things might I not be aware of? I would be reloading for the 243 or the 240 so reloading isn't a downside. Also, how much does it cost to do a rechambering? Also, how much more does the 240 weatherby kick as compared to a 243? My wife will be using it sometimes and so I'm curious about that.
Thanks for your input.
