konus pro series

OK tell me about these scopes ;) as I am considering buying one. A 6-24x44AO with 30/30 reticle to be exact. Before this thread I ahd not heard of them but did a little searching on the net and found a vendor/importer here int he UK and the price is not too bad. more than they ar ein the US but less than some of the other "Budget" scopes. They are cheaper than the Burris and about the same price as the Nikko Sterling Gold Crown scopes.

A little late, but I'll respond just the same.  I have a Konus Pro 10x-50mm (fixed magnification w/ mil-dot reticle) mounted on my Winchester 670 in .225 Winchester and I've not ran across any serious problems.  It's a nice clear scope that has held zero very well for me.  One note though is that fixed-magnification scopes traditionally have always been a simpler design, so even for some cheaper scope brands a fixed magnification scope will work well even if their variables do not.

Thank you for your comments. As yet I have not moved on getting another scope and it will be a couple of weeks before I can do so now but after reading yoru comments I went to the JLS Co 1959 Ltd site and looked at the 10x50 but it does not have the AO feature and as this scope has got to be multi duty and will be used on the 25 metre range it will need to be AO. After it has done the job on the 6mm Rem chambered rifle it will be used for a while at least on a .22lR rifle hence the need for 26 metres focus. If I like the varible later I will more than likely get a 10x50 for target shooting at 75 metres and  out to 600 yards depending on which ranges I am using. Our club range is 25 and 75 metres, the military ones round here go out to 600 yards but are expensive to book and use. A couple of times a year the clubs travels down to Bisley to use the ranges there.
