I picked up one in 243 recently.  Anybody else shoot one of these and reload for it?

Hi There,

Sorry although I do shoot a 601 it's chambered for the .308 Win cartridge.

Hey Brit,

Question for you - mine has a set trigger that looks like the savage accutrigger.   You push the trigger forward to set it and the smaller inset trigger fires the round.  Is yours the same or do you have two separate triggers?

By the way I'm a brno/cz fan, but even so I'm still surprised at the workmanship on this rifle.

Lucky Guy, I have a BRNO 602 and I have the set trigger like you describe. Mine is chambered for the 300 Win Mag. CRASH87

Well mine came with teh set trigger which is a straight item and I didn't like the look so I fitted a std curved trigger and removed the sett one which is tucked away in a little drawer for safe keeping. At one time the ZKK 601 came with both triggers. There is an adjustment screw in the bottom of the bolt guideway.

I have shot them before with the sett trigger and it works well but it just didn't look right. A fiiend had a 602 in .300 Win Mag and that rifle was very accurate. Due to ill health he has given up his Firearms Licence and sold off his rifles. If he ever recovers his health he will probably get his licence back however it honestly seems unlikely he will ever recover enough to do so. Last time I saw him he was talking of seeling some of his shotgun collection as he cannot even walk around a clay layout now. At one point only 25% of one lung was working.

Thanks Brit, I thought I'd seen a pic of the dual trigger version.

I'll have to check for the adjustment screw, I was wondering where it was.  The trigger has about the same pull in both regular and set, about a pound and a half (.67kg or so?)  It seems safe though, I can't get it to bump fire.

Cheers,

Glenn
