NEF Sportster .17 HMR Extractor Removal

How do you remove the extractor on this rifle?

See the FAQ and Help sticky, the 17hmr has an ejector unless they've switched it over too!!

Just punch the pins out is the main thing. Details in the stickys.

BUT:  the only difference between extractor and ejectors is the height of the catch plate.

There's a spur sticking up.  NEF ground/filed one down for me for $24 with some extra parts and had to send them the barrel too.

You can do this with a file real easy. Just keep it straight and take it down to .420" instead of the ejectors  .460"+.

You don't need to take the belly out of them like Trotter explained in the sticky's.
