reloading for the 629
« on: April 25, 2007, 11:47:19 AM »
I just bought a 629 44 magnum and am looking for some accurate mid range loads for general hunting and shooting with 210-240 grain bullets and some heavier bullets for hunting only in the 300 grain range. If someone has some favorites loads to share I would appreciate it. Thanks, Charlie

I use 18 - 20 gns of either 296 or H110 with the 300 gn cast slugs for heavy hitting and hunting loads.  For plinkin' and other light loads with your mentioned slugs you can use Unique in the 9-13 gn range for the 210 or 7-11 gn range for the 240-250 gn slugs.  HTH.  Mikey.

Thanks Mikey for the input. I will remember these loads. I should be able to order my dies and brass, etc within a month. I exhausted my resources buying this gun. Charlie
