Pro-Mag magazines for Sig P220
« on: April 25, 2007, 11:30:49 AM »
I would like to know about the Pro-Mag magazines for a Sig P220 if they function as good as a factory mag. I've been watching eBay for a couple of weeks and noticed a lot of them for sale there. Then I went to the Pro-Mag site and found that I could buy them brand new cheaper than the used ones cost on eBay. What I would like to know also is about Pro-Mag's 7 and 8 round magazine. Does the 8 round magazine fit flush the same as a factory magazine does? I know that Pro-Mag has a rounded bottom so I can jam the clips in faster than a factory mag, but don't know if I should get their 7 round or 8 round magazines as I don't want a lot of clip extension.

Promag pistol mags are horrible-----spend the extra cash and get Sig factory(Megcar) or Megcar mags themselves. Check CDNN for good prices.

The only Promags that I've seen work well are newer production Mini-14 mags-----stay away from anything else from Promag.

I agree I bought a couple of 10 round promags and the ammo wouldn't feed they're junk,I also mbought some noname mags and they don't feed either. The Midway March Flyer has  factory original 8 round Sig Mags on sale for the  P220 @ $28.99 and  p226 the 9mm luger 20 round is 39.99,p228,229 & 239 are all 28.99.

I agree, I would stick with the Sig mag.  I just received a new CDNN Catalog (already ordered three pistols) there are tons of original factory Sig mags available at fairly reasonable prices.  I missed out on the mags for the 225, when I called my order in they said all had been bought by one person.........he must be preparing for a war, that was a lot of 2700 mags!

Promags have two uses, the range, where jams don't really matter and a paper weight. They are great paper weights.
