BRO CZ527 223 Range Report

Went to the range yesterday to sight in my new Weaver K6 scope. Man these rifles are boring-------------without any effort I shot several 1/2MOA groups and nothing over 3/4 MOA.

Load 25.5 gr IMR4895 under 55 gr Nosler BT. I never had to do any load ' development' because it shoots everything well.

This a great little rifle made in old Czechoslovakia.

Dang it Mc been looking at CZ527 for awhile,you are not helping any!Glad its shooting so well for ya  :)

I have the same kind of boredom with my .204 527...lol.............they just shoot so clean

I bought a cz 527  carbine  in 762x39  and its shoots under an inch with anything  even cheap wolf ammo

My daughter shot center fires for the first time at the range yesterday - a Remington xr100 in 204 and a 527 American in 223. 

After she'd had her fill I started plinking at the 12" gongs placed every 50 yards from 250 to 500.  What a hoot!!  Pretty windy but that just made it more fun (about a foot and a half hold off at 500 yds.)  The cz hit the long ones as well as the the single shot, heavy barrel, 40x triggered Remington that cost 2x!  The cz doesn't quite match up when you get down to measuring 100 yard groups off of the bags but for half the cost, about half the weight and minute of coyote you can't beat it!

Well, I do love my Remington 700 in the 270 I have...but that CZ in the .204 just is hard to beat. Mine in a Varmint at 100 yards..will knock Abe Lincolns beard off that penny.....if I am secure and rock solid.     ( The Remmy just makes the penny disappear.   )

Don't get me wrong, I love the 527 and I meant that comparison as a complement!  The xr100 is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned, only gun I've ever shot .1's and .2's with at 100 yards.  (My 527 is only in the .6's and .7's at 100 yards!)  ;D To have a light field gun with that nice of a trigger and that kind of accuracy is a beautiful thing!
