Never have we had some hogs in the area but the DNR got on it and eradicated them not sure if they got all of them but they killed several hundred they first excaped from a game farm then started to multiply. This was in Northern WI. I have seen guys on the outdoors programs shooting hogs with xbow and bows and I think any good set up would work fine. What ever you decide to get as long as it is a quality make like an Excaliber, Horton or Ten Point or any of the other good brands should work fine just stay away from the cheap stuff as was discussed in your other post.
