I've got a new Savage M93 in 22 mag that will not group tighter than 4" @ 100 yards regardless of the ammo (six kinds) put through it. Also the scope is on tight and straight. Given the good conditions and the very steady rest from which I was shooting it, I've come to the conclusion that it is the rifle and not me. Ruling out different ammo or changing how or when I shoot, what should I do? I plan on taking it out to South Dakota in June as my "close in rifle" on a Prairie Dog shoot and so I need to figure this out pretty soon.
I've been lucky so far as this is the first factory rifle I've ever gotten that is a dog in the accuracy dept "out of the box."
Any recommendations would be much appreciated!
