Well...After trying to live with the squirrels in my neighborhood I have decided to do something about them...They have been digging up my yard since the day I purchased my house 7 years ago...Doesn't help that my neighbor has a huge oak tree in her yard...But, seeing as I cannot do away with the tree, I thought the squirrels might just have to go.
So, I went shopping for relatively inexpensive .17 caliber air rifles.  I found the Crosman G1 Extreme at Wal-Mart for around $125.00.  I picked one up.  It came with a 3-9x32 AO scope.  It is a black plastic, break barrel air gun that is rated at 1000 fps...Don't know how much she will really do but it burns the pellets down range at a pretty good clip.
I am having a problem with getting tight groups with this air rifle though and I am not familiar with air guns enough to diagnose the problem myself.  So, I need the help of some forum members here...I only have one type of pellet that I am using and it is the Beeman Model 1223 Pointed Blue Coated Pellets.  One shot could be as far as 6" away from another at 15 yards and I cannot figure out why...I am using a solid rest so that should not be a problem.

I know that I did not purchase an extremely high quality rig but I would expect it to at least group a little.
