« on: April 05, 2007, 03:44:00 PM »
;D Hey guys shot my t3 in 2506 last weekend and it put 115 gr triple shocks into a .650 3 shot group and also Nosler 110 gr,acubonds into .700, 3 shot groups .I fired 30 rounds,10 -3 shot groups and none went over .900
;D ;D ;D The best part was that it would put both bullets into the same spot.Last 6 shots,3 of each went into a group of .815
Dam I like these rifles,my other t3 is in 3006 and it will shoot under one inch also, for the money they cant be beat.
One happy shooter.

Hey North - sounds great.  Doesn't surprise me as I have a 595 WH in .223 that shoots better than I can.  Couple questions cause I'm thinking of getting a T3 in .308.

What scope do you have on it?

I assume your shooting at 100 yds?

Can you compare the T3 to the Whitetail Hunter - WH is the older version and some guys say the T3 is a downgrade.  I know my WH bolt (LH) is smooth as silk.  If I go for the T3 - I am gonna order a wood/blue version.  All the shops around me stock the synthetic/SS which I just can't warm up to...I know it's better for in the nasty weather, but most of my time is on the range.

Looking for a .308 cause I have a Savage 99 lever I use for deer and alot of brass and reloaded ammo in 150 grain.  While the 99 is a good shooter, I like to go for the small groups (like you are getting) and figure a good bolt is the way to go.  I have been considering the Savage cause of the great reputation for accuracy but I keep coming back to the Tikka because of how great my 595 is.
