i actually have one. i have the synthetic/marine coat version chambered in 300 win mag. i have only shot one box of Remington 180 gr , a box of reloads consisting of sierra 180 gr spitzers and a box of sierra 150 gr bt spitzers and about 6 rounds of an old box of winchester super x in 220gr. i mounted a wal-mart special center point 4x16 scope on it and it took about 6 shots to set the scope. most of my groups were arranged such that 2 holes were touching and a 3rd about 1/2" to 3/4" away. all this was at one hundred yards. my approach has been less than scientific and i wasn't really bearing down, but the lighter rounds seemed to group a bit looser. the trigger is a bit heavy but crisp. recoil was a pleasant surprise even with the old winchester 220 gr. without the scope my version was surprisingly light feeling. the stock as radical as it seems works well for me. the Monte Carlo like cheek plate seems to be in a very good position for comfortable shooting. overall operation was smooth.
all in all i would have to say that i am pleased with it. so far it does what its supposed to do and is a very comfortable shooting rifle.
the only minor complaint i would have is the sling eyes that are molded into the stock. they seem solid enough....but it does cause a double take.
here is one last bit of kinda strange information....i ordered a spare magazine as a backup...and mossberg sent with it the housing that it slides in. i don't know if this means anything i just found it strange
