CC Holster for P229 40
« on: April 03, 2007, 01:06:01 AM »
Hello all.  I am in the market for a conceal carry holster for my 229.  I have read many reviews and would like some "actual carry" input.  Does anyone have a favorite that fits comfortably and is highly concealable?  I am 5'11" 200 lbs and usually wear jeans/t-shirt untucked. ???

I just bought a "Pager Pal", it is an in-side the pants holster that will accept many different pistols/revolvers.  I have been wearing it for a week now, it takes some getting use to, but is not bad even with my SIg 245.  Type "Page pa;" in your search engine, and you should be able3 to get some information on it there.

The pager is replaced with a cell phone case that attaches to the holster, and is used to draw the gun.

Rockbilly,

Thanks for the reply, I checked it out.  I've read a lot of mixed reviews on it...most of them were negative about the discomfort.  I realize you've only had it for a week or so but, isn't the use of a two hands to draw awkward?

"highly concealable" is subjective, to a point anyways.

I use a Galco Fletch HiRide for my 226 and a simple t shirt hides it. The 229 having the shorter barrel would make it even better. I cant stand inside waste band holsters, never felt good to me, I wish that wasnt the case though.
