For approximately 3 months there have been no hogs in my neighborhood. Most likely this is due to the drought conditions and the falling water levels in the St. Johns River flood plain and the hogs range into new feeding territories.
I am not at all depressed by this switch from hog abundance to scarcity. I can now restore some of my wildlife food plots to level surfaces in anticipation of their return to tear them up again. The cycle never ceases to repeat itself.
