How far off the lands

How far off the lands do you usually load??
Just thinking out loaud I usally do 15 thousand to start, but just wondering what is the most popular

It sort of depends, with single shots we don't have much of a limitation if you can get ther 15 thousands is a good place to start, as long as you can keep enough bullet in the case. but barnes recommend with thier x bullets and variants to start @ 50. If it is a gun with a mag then 15 or what ever will fit in the mag.

Depends on the rifle and the type of bullet & load I am starting with...Coated bullets I'll seat as close as I can get...sometimes touching..sometimes just off the lands...Barnes is the only one I try to start at their recommended seating depth...With the Silver Ballistic Tip's...Ill start them at .003" off and move into the lands...Berger's I've shot like a little more jump...same for most Partitions..Accubonds..and Grand Slams..Match Kings can go either way..same for the normal Ballistic tips...or the Sirocco's..
