.357 Mag barrels,,having FUN~?
« on: March 19, 2007, 03:08:04 AM »
Looking at a Handi Rifle laminate stock straight grip "Limited Edition" nearby.
Wondering if it might make a good subsonic candidate for coyote control and loading heavy 250 gr bullets [subsonic]. I'm needing a suburb quiet coyote killer. The .357 Handi seems a natural for maybe up to 75 yards?
Yes, I will be applying for a Fed Tax paperwork - if this rifle fills the need,,I'll get it fitted with a can, legally [of course]. I own my own pest control business and a coyote weapon is needed.
I'm also interested in the rifle as a plinker using some of the boxes of 38SPL ammo I've got laying around!
Any excuse to buy a new rifle, right?
By the way,,how common are the factory Handi Rifles in .357 Mag?
I found an older H & R Rifle in .357 Mag a few years ago and sold it before I even tried to shoot it! Mistake.
