Recoil Suppressors

Are the Mercury Recoil Suppressors as good as the manufacturers claim?  Would they work say on a 7600  35Whelen?  Don't like the recoil but don't want to drill rear stock if they don't or only have minimual results.

No I haven't, this question is more out of curiousty than anything else.  I have a 45-70 that when you are shooting big bullets really needs some help.  I have a limbsaver on it.  I hear these stories about how guys put suppressors on guns and just wandered why or how.

I have one in one of my .45-70 Handis, felt recoil is less than using twice it's weight in lead, and half the dead weight is always better for carrying. ;)
