CZ 452 rings
« on: March 14, 2007, 04:21:01 PM »
I am the proud new owner of a 452 American. Just picked it up this afternoon and must say that I am impressed. The more I fondle it the more I like it.

The question now is finding rings and a scope for it. I want to put a decent setup on it, somthing that will do the rifle justice. What rings did yall of you use on yours?

I've used the Millet Angle Lock rings on my 452's. They're rock solid look nice and can be adjusted to fit a 3/8" or 11mm dovetail.

Ditto the Millet angle-loc rings on my 452 Varmint in 17 M2. I mounted a Bushnell Trophy 4X12X40 on mine. I wanted the power plus the adj. objective feature that makes parallax adjustments for the shorter rimfire ranges.

CZ makes a weaver type adaptor for the 452. It is about $40 from CZ. Uses weaver rings and is about the most solid mount out there. Ck on www.rimfirecentral.com in the CZ section. Search for Sophia, great write up on this combo.

Old coach: thanks I went over there and yes it sounds like just the thing, one guy had mentioned that CZ willn't ship to Canada. I'll e-mail them and see what happens. Other wise maybe these Millet's. I'll do some looking but just in case who sells them?

Thanks

A set of high Milletts came with my 452 American back in '99 or thereabouts.  I use them for my Weaver V16.  I also obtained a set of Leupold medium rimfire rings for my Leupold 4X Compact.  They look good together.  Besides the objective lens clearing the barrel you also need to be sure the ocular clears the bolt handle.

Thanks for the input everyone.

It now sports a set of millet rings and a Leupold Rifleman scope.
