A push feed Model 70 without the deep blue, and a cheaper wood stock. Still as strong, and relable, just an entry level rifle.

A good rifle, but some of them discharged when the bolt was closed.  A friend has two of them that had to be repair.  Otherwise good rifles.  If the price was right I would consider buying one.

I had a model 670a in .30-06.  I liked it a lot.  No problems whatsoever, and it was accurate too.

 I just bought one on Gun Broker that is really nice looking and it is a 7Mag...You can't beat the price, most are under $400.

Hey Folks
  I'm looking at one here at a gun shop,the thing is in mint condition but my question is,how accurite are they,will the barrels interchange with a model 70. And the stocks,on the internet I've been looking at them and they seem to have 3 different stocks,one with no checkering,one with and one with a cheek rest.
 Whats a really nice one worth?

Keep in mind that you are buying a Model 70 Winchester post 64....The advantage to that over the pre 64 is a stronger action...The disadvantage is push feed instead of controlled feed, neither of which affect accuracy...The wood is not walnut and the finish is not premium...Everything else is the same as any other Model 70...I love the 7Mag I bought..I had to free float the barrel to stop the vertical stringing, but I have had to do that on other factory rifles too, including 700 Remingtons...
You should get into it for under $400.
