new 25-06 barrell
« on: March 11, 2007, 06:14:02 AM »
ordered early dec and recieved late feb, spent fri night reworking bottom contor of scope base and reinstalling, lapped rings and assembled with a dependable old weaver k-4 i use. started to lap some with jb but not close to done yet.  bore appears centered as close as i can see at muzzle. saturday i put a box of rounds sighting in and on 200 meter steele.  so far appears to be moa or better at 200 with factory remington ammo. i love it when a plan comes together.  new speed goat getter.

Would like to hear about you 25/06 as the project goes. I had wanted one of those and had feed back that they are not accurate. Keep us informed with loads and stuff. I load for 25/06 already and would like to have one in my handi group just wnated to see how they shot , not how some one says they shoot.

I plan on getting a 25-06 barrel myself. Keep us posted on how it shoots.

Sounds like your plan is coming together nicely indeed. And you got a good shooting 25-06 there.
I too look forward to hearing more to come.. Congrats.
