Modifying CZ actions
« on: March 09, 2007, 02:43:45 PM »
I was told that CZ's feed really well unless you try and use them for a cartridge they weren't designed for ie. wildcats.

Thinking about necking down the new 357 Ruger and using a 550 action will I run into feeding problems.

Thanks Jim

I cannot imagine that they would be any different to get to feed than most other actions based on the Mauser 98.

Jim...The .375 Ruger case is larger in dia. and has a larger rim dia. than rounds designed for the CZ Medium action...I'm thinking that you have to have the rails opened up and the bolt face opened up to make it work....A good gunsmith should be able to do this... Try Bill Leeper, Martini & Hagen, Alberta Tactical or your favorite smith... :)
