I was wanting a 32 h&r magnum I did'nt whether to get a taurus or ruger

I'm thinking they are a toss up. I don't own either in revolver but have had buddies that did and both were satisfied based on what they paid.

I own one of each in semi-auto and like them. Have had zero problems with them for 20 years now.

I have had a Ruger worked great and they have great customer service. I dont know if you can say the same thing about Taurus.

Over the past 15 years I've owned four Taurus double action revolvers and all were prone to misfire in double action and some even when thumb cocked. After four strikes I'd say Taurus is more than out. I've owned three Ruger double actions, two Security Sixes and one SP-101 and have never had a problem.

Too many problems with Taurus in the past. Got rid of them all, and will never get another.The old saying is true, "You get what you pay for." Buy cheap South American crap, you get cheap South American crap. I have 8 Rugers and never a bit of trouble out of any of them. Go Ruger.

I have the Ruger SP 101 in 32H&R mag and flat love it ,I have no experience with the small frame Taurus but the Ruger is a very good piece Doug

I would go with the ruger over the taurus.I have owned a couple taurus revolvers and they are OK but I think the rugers are a little better.

Howdy. Newbie here. Ruger without any doubts on my end. I've owned a few Taurus revolvers and they were hit and miss on having to be sent back to be worked on. The Rugers and Smiths I've owned have all been problem free.

Howdy folks. Another new guy here. I've owned some Tauruses in the past also and will never have another Taurus revolver.

Rugers, Smiths and Colts are the only ones I'll consider.

Ruger. I owned 6 ruger revolvers. very few problems. Owned one taurus which was junk after firing 100 rounds. Do NOT buy a taurus piece of junk.

I had a Taurus raging bull in 44 mag. It looked cool and the grip felt good, but it shot like sh**. I thought it was me until I bought my DW 445SM, it shoots great. Never owned a Ruger pistol, but I have heard only good things about them. Have to put my vote on the Ruger.

Far too many Taurus guns, both revolvers and pistols, come back to our shop for me to ever want or recommend one. As for customer service, Taurus CS is as close to nothing as you'll find. Current turnaround is three months and there is no guarantee it will work properly when it does make it back.
