At 7-30 velocities nosler 140g Ballistic Tips or Partitions. I "would not" shy away from 150-160g ballistic tip bullets, if you can get 23-2400fps you will have have an excellent combo for most anything that you come across.

I have tried the Nosler 120 grain BT. They fly flat and far.
I have used Sierra 120 grain pro hunter but never on game.
The Barnes 120 grain TSX shoots accurate and will penetrate like crazy. My son killed a doe with this bullet last year.
I have tried the following powders IMR 4350, IMR 4895, H322 and AA2520. The 2520 gave me substantialy smaller groups in my 21" carbine barrel.

If your 21" barrel shoots as good as my 14" Hunter barrel does, you'll be happy. Mine shoots best with 120 BT, but with the longer barrel you should be able to go up to the heavier 140 BT with no problem.  W-748 powder shot the best for me. GOOD LUCK

Coop-Shoot, I got a 7-30 in December and fireformed all new 30-30 brass. I full length sized the 30-30 brass thru the 7-30 die at first with no problems. I believe I used Hornady one-shot just to make sure the brass would not stick in the die.  The 30-30 brass is easy to form (much eaiser than 308) so you should have no problems.
