RUGER 77 EXPRESS RIFLE VS. M70 SUPER GRADE
« on: March 06, 2007, 08:14:56 AM »
I'm looking hard at these two rifles in a 30-06. With a little looking around they can be had. Does anyone have any past experience with one or both? I'm a m-70 owner and fan, but that 77 express is one fine looking rifle.

I have a Ruger Express Rifle in 270 Winchester and I really like the rifle. Like you said, they are beautiful, classy rifles. I have some Model 70s, but none are Super Grades. Pretty tough choice, actually. Obviously, either one is a great choice. Both may achieve collector status; the Winchester because of the plant closing, and the Ruger due mainly to a limited number of these rifles being made. I'd probably go with the Ruger because I like the features and it's limited production. How are both priced?

I'd pick the supergrade.  Every one that I have ever seen has been stunningly beautiful
