My New CZ American 204
« on: March 01, 2007, 10:40:36 AM »
Picked her up today and boy is she purdy. Got her home and gave her a good cleaning and put her glasses on. CZ American in 204 topped with a Bushnell Elite 3200 in a 3-9X40. This little gal fits like a glove when I shoulder her and I cant wait to run some lead down her. Ain't she purdy ;D

Congratulations!  Great looking rifle.  I recently got one in .223 and they are sweet!

I'm headed out in a little while with mine.  I found a dead cow elk yesterday a couple of miles from the house.  We had a few inches of fresh snow overnight and when I went back today there were coyote tracks everywhere.  It looks like they had a party there last night!  I'm going to ski back out there this afternoon and set up on it to see if anything shows up before dark.

Sweet Lucky Guy. Post some pics if you get one. That sounds like a pretty good set-up ;D

So I get in there, circle downwind and get to about 175 yds out with a clear shooting lane through the trees.  I set up behind a tree, got a perfect branch for a rest, I'm set.   I'm there for about 10 minutes and a single shows up working his way in through the brush.  It's almost to the clearing where the carcass is laying and a pair of ATV's come blasting down a forest road about 50 yards away.

I stayed til dark but never saw another flicker.

I might get to try again tonight, but the carcass won't have much left on it after today I'm afraid.
