I have a Burris Fullfield II 3x9 on .260 barrel with medium Warne rings. Scope was around $200 and came with a free small spotting scope. Nothing special but it was free. ;D

Scope has good clairity and worked fine for me this past deer season.

I'll give you my two cents...I've got one of the original Redfield  3 X 9 widefield lo-profile scopes on both my .260 Encore and on a Savage Model 110 .243.  My son uses the same scope on his Savage .260.  If you can find an older (made in the 60's or '70's) lo-pro's in the $150 - $175 range at a gun show or on an online auction, I'd recommend looking at it. I've owned and shot the one on the .243 for 42 years and it, and the one on the .260, have helped account for a lot of whitetails and varmints without fail .  Personally, I like this scope better than both the Leupold VX1 3 X 9 and the Nikon 4 X 12 that I have on other Encore barrels.With its low-profile, wide field of view, and optics it makes a really nice set-up on the Encore.

Oops...I forgot I was in the T/C handgun forum, not rifle forum, on the previous post.  For the handgun .260 barrel, I agree with Redhawk on the Bushnell.  Have one a .243 and really like it.

I would go with any scope... except a Bushnell! My first handgun scope was a Bushnell (1968)...it was purely trash! I've had their binoculars also...trash...trash...trash! As a matter of pure fact Dave Watson...with Bushnell Outdoors was here in Alaska had employed one of the local outdoorsman to film his hunt...and then after the hunt...left Alaska without paying him (If you see him...tell him there's a fellow in Fairbanks that would like a few minutes of his time). That's Bushnell all the way...and Dave is the fellow that represents that fine company. Hey guys...if your gonna purchase a scope...have respect for the game you hunt...and buy a quality product!  ;)

I have a 4x Simmons on my 15" 223 that I really like so far, $100 scope, even had it on my 460 S&W for  awhile, no problems, very clear and bright...............
