is this a good deal?

Found a used encore today with the .243 barrel, stainless, and a Nikon 2x-7x scope. I'm not sure what model the scope was- it didn't seem to have any model name on it.  I thought it was ironic that the only encore they had was the one that I've decided on exactly.   Anyway, I've never bought a used gun, but am willing to consider.  What do you guys think about this "deal" at $650.00.  BTW, it was in excellent condition.

With the scope-you are OK.
Tell him you don't really like Nikons but you will take it if he knocks $100 off.

$50?
$25?
No tax?

My opinion is, it is worth what he is asking plus shipping (internet sale) of about $75.  If you are looking for that particular Encore.

Almost any reasonable gun deal in the lower-48 looks good to me.  I've been living with Alaska's jacked up prices for 35 years.
