Please forgive me for I have sinned (again)

I've been needing a new CCW piece for quite some time now. The weight of my 1911 has been causing additional back pains on top of what I normally have, and I had to transfer my smaller Bersa Thunder 380 over to a friend so she could have some sort of defense against an abusive ex.  She is also becoming an LEO at the end of this year, and was extremely anti-gun til her ex beat the crap out of her and her kid(been working to convert her for 9 years).   So the loss of my Bersa was a big win overall..

But to make a long story short, I picked up a Walther P99QA Mil Green in 9mm flavor today.  $624 out the door: pistol+tax+instacheck fee, w/hard carry case, 2 mags, 2 grip inserts, a box of Federal Defense loads and a 100rd WWB FMJ's for target.

Sorry to hear about your friend and her child. Hopefully it won't happen again, but it's good to know she has friends like yourself looking out for their sake.
But congrats on the Walther, they make excellent firearms and I am sure you will be happy with it.
