Back to an X-bow again.
« on: February 16, 2007, 02:44:48 PM »

I used a X-bow about 5 years ago, I had 2 shoulder surgery's and could not pull my compound back, I got a Doctors excuse and get a X-bow permit, which is good for life for me in Delaware. I had a Horton Legend and a Horton Legend Special Edition. I sold them when I was able to use my Compound again. Well I had the itch and opportunity to get another X-bow. I got another Horton, it is a Explorer XL150. I can't wait to get out and shot it.  ;D

I know two guys who bought Hortons this year and killed deer with them their first year using them. Nothing wrong with that.  ;D
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Red hawk,

did your get your new crossbow fully set up and sighted in yet?

I Finlay got my Phantom sighted in last week when we had the few days in the high 40's / low 50's . At 20 yards all my arrows where touching when I was able to hold the bow steddy and at the 30 yard mark I took 2 shots and both went in the center of the bull's eye.

What arrows are you using?

I am custom making my own, I am using Easten 2219 , ten point super bright flat knocks, 4"savage duravanes , and weight tuned from 326.5 to 331.0 grs (with out points)

rickyp, I have not gone out with it yet, I have been playing with some new handguns. I will probably go out next week and play with the X-bow. Bow is set up and ready to go, I will be using Horton Lightning Strike MX 2216
The good thing is, I have a 50 yards bow range in my back yard.  ;D
