stupid pawn shops

Saw a beautiful Beeman/Feinwerkbau spring-piston .177 in a pawn shop.  The salesman was showing it to a customer. "It's 125 dollars, Here's how you cock it", he said.  "Lots of power, just listen". POW, the guy dry-fired it. 
Well, I told the shop guys as nicely as I could how they shouldn't do that, but they probably thought they knew better. 
It's a frustrating world sometimes.

A friend was looking at a Sheridan air rifle in a local pawn shop. 'Tard who was behind the counter told him is shot real good, 'cause we been shootin nails out of it and it hits real hard.  Sheridans have brass barrels!
