Thanks Reyn, for the helpful info on both ends. I hit the range yesterday. After 6 rounds and no hits anywhere that I could see, I took the scope off and removed the shim's from under the CZ bases. I then removed the bolt, and at 50 yards, lined the bore up with the target from my Led Sled. After leaving the bore lined up, I peeked through the scope only to see that the crosshairs were WAY off. I fired 1 round like that, and I found paper. I then knew I had to walk the POI about 8" left and 8" up. Once I got it an inch high at 50 yards, I moved out to 100 yards.
Even with the crosswind gusting at 25+ MPH, I was able to shoot a 5 shot group that was around 1 inch, using my favorite factory 204 offering: Hornady's 45 gr SP. I had to leave the shim's in the rings though, as even now I can barely get a dollar bill between the objective and the barrel. I will worry about finding a remedy for that issue another time. I had to buy those junk bikini scope cover's, as I can't get my flip up caps on the objective, and thus I cannot use my kill flash diffuser either. It would be nice to have some functional scope protection in the field, which is why I wanted to get the scope up a bit higher, to begin with. I'll go BKL after the season is done...thanks again!
