heavy conicals

Who all is shooting heavy .50 caliber conicals out of their guns?   what kind of accuracy are you getting?
i'm talking like the REAL, Hornady great plains and the like, not powerbelts

i have shot the TC pointed, flat base ,big lead bullets with good results...i have a lee taget bullet mold that makes a hollow base bullet with a big flat nose that works good also...cant push it as fast as tc...i just cant seem to use them because i have had so good results with sabots and jacked bullets...havnot lost a deer since i started using sabots......but they are chaper to shoot in the off season.............jb

Thems just babies, these are heavy conicals. My huntsman loves conicals in the 430 grain to 460 grain range. The 460 grain Bullshop or No Excuses, sized to .503", 80 grains 777 FFFG, fiber gasket wad, shoot excellent ot of my Huntsman. ;D  The Hornady Great Plains and Buffalo Bullets with the hollow base don't do very well out of my Huntsman.

I shot three deer with my new huntsman last season. Bullet performance was exceptional. I'm using a 430 grain flat base custom mould from Magma, .503 dia,slip fit, tumble lubed with Lee Alox. 100 grain powder loads of any powder you like and you can print cloverleafs all day at 50 yds. I havn't had a chance to do any serious long range stuff. Using a Williams FP rear sight and lovin this set up.
