under water camera for ice fishing
« on: February 06, 2007, 03:43:51 PM »
A few weeks ago I used my buddies underwater camera for ice fishing. It worked great for seeing weed edges, rock piles, sand and muck. I also spotted some large bass and pike. I used the camera to determine my tip up locations and it worked great, caught the biggest pike of the day. Now I want my own camera and have been shopping. Any one have any experiences with these cameras and would like to share? Thank you in advance for any information.

I have the old style aqua view and still use it and like it a lot.  But it could use a bigger screen.  I have heard good things about the Scouts.

Thanks for the response. I have been looking at a variety of aquavu cameras. There is a 4 camera model with a 4 way split screen. I believe the 4 way screen would make for very small images and the cost of this model is 500 bucks. The scout looks like the most reasonable choice.

Called an Aqua cam I think ,have seen them for as low as $79 on internet very pleased with it. Kurt
