Bulletmaker if anyone takes you up on your offer you better give out adult sized depends cause you know whats going to happen when they hear the scream/roar of one!!!!!!! You think Abbot and Costello were funny when they were scared you need to have cameras on there guys faces!!!!! Trust me when others hear it they are rattled beyond belief they just don't understand what it is YET!!!!!! My neighbors kids have heard it too in the dark while comming out of their stands.

I have seen 175lb does that would fill the freezer and didn't shoot, I have seen mountainlions were none have been seen for many years and i was told no way that I could be seeing them until my neighbor is seeing them too now. I have seen their tracks for many years and finally got to see one. Now what ever that is thats stalking me is smart a lot smarter than anything I've hunted. And I'm hearing something that is unknown to me. So will I shoot it if I see it nope I never will hurt something just to prove its there thats not my style. I have taught my kids with their bb guns not to kill any living things that they aren't going to eat so don't kill for the fun of it. So how would that look to them if I kill a bigfoot? If it is one that I'm hearing i'm not sure yet. Its just a matter of time the more time I spend in the wilds I'm sure I'll see what it is. There is an encounter reported on the bigfoot site thats right near me. BigBill

If you read one of the russian stories I posted its very bad to hurt one they come back to where you live and kill the whole family like they did to the russian farmer.

Yes I did read you sites that you posted, and they were very interesting.
I had never read them before. As far as shooting one however, yes I would but , you are right, I would have my hands full, thats why I never hunt these things, alone. I always hunt with someone else. I`m forced to look for other hunting partners right now. cause the ones I had, got the bighead and paronioa (misspelled) and we had a disagreement. We use radios, nightvision, and close communications at all time. the first and foremost , is safety.
This year is the first year we had them to throw rocks, at us. The followed us home :eek: and threw a 4lb rock about 35 yards, and it hit a tree about 20ft from us. I think it was a warning :?: The same night they turned over a 14ft tower stand, that weighed about 1100 lbs. So we are well aware of what they can do. Our main objective, is to monitor, and wait till we get the perfect shot. :biggun: :biggun: Now if that chance doesn`t come, oh well. I`ll try to keep everyone posted. My buddies got all bent out of shape, the last time I posted a hunt, but how does anyone learn if us that are in the thick of things, don`t tell the new guy`s.

Bulletmaker I have seen what my 444 marlin and my 338 win mag along with my '06 too can do their devistating big game rounds. But I would be very hesitant on shooting because they know where you live and if you read about the russian farmer who shot one to scare them off it came back and killed everyone. I think its much better to observe and make friends than shoot one?? I think we can get much further with a rubin sandwich or a bacon cheeseburger the smell of bacon is the key you know that. Gentlemen; I bow to your integrity and tolerance. I fully expected to really get flamed when I elected to voice an opposing opinion on this thread. I must admit most of the entries are fascinating, although I just cant force myself to believe. I must say I never intended to insult or inflame anyone, or defame there character. But sometimes a man just has to step forward and stand up for his beliefs. So let me lay my cards on the table before honorable men. I am a born again Christian. I believe that the Holy Bible is the true, accurate and preserved word of God. I believe it means exactly what it says. I believe that man was created in Gods own image. I do not believe in evolution or a missing link. While some of my relatives may have swung from trees, it was never by a tail. I do not believe in bigfoot as I understand it at this time. Even Michael Dennett of the Skeptical Inquirer calls it " a universal product of the human mind". I will, however, concede that it may be possible that there are other animal species on this earth that we do not fully recognize or understand. The key word being ANIMAL. If it exist at all it lives by conditioned and learned behavior and instinct. Not by human reasoning and thought process. My mind is open to that extent. That is why I believe that if anyone EVER has the opportunity to harvest one of these creatures, it would be valuable beyond belief to the scientific community. There is no telling what good would come from such an opportunity, not to mention being able once and for all to make people like me eat our words. I also try to be an ethical and humane hunter and I never kill anything for the sole purpose of enjoyment. So Mr Bulletmaker, I respect your ethics in demanding a clean and quick kill.
Guys when someone takes a hard line for what they believe in like I do, and it is totally opposed to your own thoughts, it is always easy to respond in anger and insult. It is a credit to everyone who read my earlier statements and responded with reason instead of argument. I am glad we can disagree in such a mature manner and not resort to the childish ways of our younger days. So now a challenge to all who believe in bigfoot, convince me. I am open to all true evidence and experience.

I don't really have faith in the catholic church anymore they preach that God made man and we are all from Adam and Eve but on the other hand we evolved from the apes. I still believe in a God but just not the way the catholic church does and with all the scandal that is going on the'll all be in jail or need real jobs soon I hope. I think if it was any other organization our goverment would of closed them up, lock them up and sent the others packing. I also think the pope has some nerve to hold his head up high and be proud of the catholic church but thats my opinion.

Now what ever I'm hearing is something I have never heard in woods before and I've been in the woods most of my life hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and loggin too. I not going to say what it is exactly without seeing it but it sure sounds like what others have described that they hear and see. Plus the report of campers/hikers right near me getting chased out of the woods by something screaming at them with a god awefull scream it sure sounds like what I've been hearing too. I've been told by many that mountainlion don't exsist too for many years and you know that story. Well the tracks in the fresh snow aren't my imagination. I have been looking for bigfoot tracks thats how i found the big cat tracks. Our goverment has done reasearch on this bigfoot thing but they never told the results yet to this day as to wether they exsist or not? With all the sightings here and abroad I feel there has to be something to it. Me believing in God or not has nothing to do with whats in the woods we must keep an open mind we just never know whats out there yet. Some say that God is an alien could that be true too? Maybe who knows? Who's to say yes or no? There are so many things on this earth we don't know about and will we know everything maybe never? Seeing signs of mountainlion for many years and then seeing one has sure changed my mind on peoples opinions to what they think is not there. BigBill

I'm more interested in researching it and finding out how it lives and survives, its smart and a lot smarter than we are because it has stayed hidden for so long its very elusive just like mountainlion are so why not could it be there? Its a fact there is something there, fact there is something following me when I walk down my road, fact there is something watching me when i'm outside, I hear scream type roars that no other animal I have heard make before, I have heard rocks being banged together in the middle of the night and i have heard some sort of gibbersh language at night too close by my window too. There are millions of unsettled wild acres out there and who's to know what is out there?? Now that others are hearing it too its just a matter of time till we see what it is!!!

And I truly believe that you believe, and thats what separates the men from the boys. Lots of strange things happen in this old world. But like I said I just cant believe in bigfoot as I understand it at this time. If this thing is more elusive and smarter than a mountainlion this is why most don't see them it took me many years of seing tracks to finally see one mountainlion talk about something hard to see I caught it in my headlites at night near my camp a full grown 200lb mountainlion. With so many acres of wild open lands who's to say they killed off all the mountainlions in the first place?? Now I'm seeing bigger coyotes too up north and i read that the wolves are comming down thru NY state and inter breeding with our smaller coyotes making them bigger in size. The last coyote I saw draped over the back of a large atv(quad) hanging off both sides it was that big. With all the predators making a comeback in the wilds and no one hunting them yet we are being taken over and most don't know it yet besides the ones in Kalifornia being attacked by them which is soon to happen here too sooner or later its going to happen for sure then the crap will hit the fan here then they will all be on the hunting menu again. I think anything can survive in the wilds and not be seen if it doesn't want to. BigBill

It takes a lot to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up and get me upset not scared but leary of whats out there trust me bulletmaker and a few know the sound this thing can make. At first I thought it was a fisher but I have second thoughts now because of the loudness and intense sound of it, trust me if you ever hear one you will know what I'm talking about. I've been to one of the most haunted places on this earth many times and I wasn't scared even when things are happening all around me. So this thing isn't going to run me off at all.

Just do a search on "DUDLEYTOWN" and the stories will come up and trust me no one will spend a night there. I've seen the clef hoof tracks in the snow inside human boot tracks they were trying to hide them. I've seen my tracks in the snow dissappear when i returned after walking around. First, the bottom left contains an unknown fog.....the one in the middle....Possibly a small spirit orb, or something else? The bottom right one I have circled one kinda jumped me.....lol.....If you look at it close enough (without zooming it in on Paint or anything) use just your eyes and doesn't it kind've look like the eyes, nose, possible mouth and hair of a woman? Maybe I'm just being paranoid with that one...lol...

You won't belive this:

I was hog hunting late one night near the red river.I heard something russell in the bushes to my left.........and smelled a very faint smell like wet carpet. Just then it walked out from behind a bush. It had a man like fave but had to be at least 7 feet tall, covered in hair, it was gnawing on a root. I was so scared, i think he knew i was there. I decided to take the shot as i knew he had spotted my..............but just before I shot........an NBA scout wearing a suit and caring a brief case ran out from under a wood pile and sighned the thing to a three year contract to play with the bulls for 2 million a year..............i couldn't belive it...........I think he should have gotten at least 2.7 million a year.

And yes you guys can make fun of this place but its one of the most haunted places on the earth. When my son told me about it I just had to go there and I went in a skeptic and a non believer and i came out a believer. I also got may orbs on film with the camera. What ever is there messed with my dog on very trip. Then on one trip it was clef hoof tracks inside the heel part of the boot tracks that were in the snow it walked on two feet and stepped almost exactly inside the boot tracks to hide them in the snow. When you first walk in its like any other woods and if you leave the dog home maybe nothing strange will happen too but the camera will sure pic it up with 400 film. My tape recorder picked up a bow string noise and i have no idea where it came from we didn't have anything that could do that. There is something very bad there as the well known ghost hunters in the country said. I would like to go there at night anyone want to make a trip?? Your not afraid right? BigBill

Nope I was too broke between building a race car and putting gas in it to be smokin or drinkin at that time plus I gave up drinkin many years ago when i found out they have plenty of hard liquor under the bar and you can't drink them dry only God knows i tried. Your story is very timely, cause last night (Aug 6th) on the National Georgraphic channel, they did a docomentary of a group of Chimps, in Africa, that were stalking and eating young children. The chimps were killed after being hunted down by the people of the villiage that it happened in but there were a rather lot of this disturbing raids being conducted by these cannibal chimps.They would first eat the hands, then the face, then the abdomen of the children. There were pictures of the unfortunate victims, and interviews with the grieving parents. It was very horrible, and since Bigfoot is related to the monkey tribes, they could be a possible concern also.
I couldnt find the link of the story on the web, so if anybody can find it, please put it here for anyone to read.

I heard a bunch of stories about a particular 2 footed being and always blowed em off, but I was approached by a family member that I respect very much, who does not doubt my tracking skills as I do not doubt their honesty. As suprising as it seems, upon arrival I found a nice set of tracks right were they said they spotted the "hairy man" and followed them close to a mile through some thick stuff finding hairs along the way. The "creature" known as the "White Thing" to the locals(I learned by asking around) crossed the creek and also chose to walk down the creek at times...after a while I noticed a feeling of something watching me and kept picking up a scent kinda like a wetdog crossed with a stinking human but different...I was not scared but thought long and hard an decided that if there was one there was more and was not prepared to try to battle what must be an ancient species. also in my mind was the idea of what would happen if scientists would ever get a hold of it and out of respect I left the area. I do not make a habit of sharing this story often and If you try to kill one I truly think you will not make it out of the woods with the corpse of it.
I went camping back to the same spot a year or so later and while cooking porkchops in beer I noticed four pair of large red eyes circling us and I jumped up and screamed at them(yeah go ahead and think how stupid that was) and they departed faster than any whitetail i ever seen(but was not much louder than one suprisingly). I followed the tracks the next morning and they disappeared into a mouth of a cave that was set into the creek, needless to say I didn't follow.
Believe me or not I don't care but I am being very truthful. I never really thought they were real but now I don't know...The only thing I do know is, If they were going to hurt us they would have already.

Now, FINALLY, with all the hairs you found and collected, DNA test can be run to settle once and for all exactly what these things are. You did collect the hairs didn't you? And of course you ARE taking a scientific group to there hideout cave so all sorts of valuable data can be collected and studied for the good of the creatures and everyone else as well. WHAT A FIND. Im sure, with your tracking abilities, you wont have any trouble finding the cave again. And since we are concerned for the welfare of the creatures themselves, dont trouble yourself about disrespecting them. This is what I've been waiting on. Some real (?) proof of bigfoot. You have no idea what you have done for the credibility of bigfoot hunters everywhere.

If you can convince me of this statement I will tell you what my contact said about the hairs I sent in for testing, and also one of the things I found that they eat.....

Also for the record, I DON'T drink alcoholic beverages, I just use the beer as a tenderizer when cooking over an open fire...I added it for an intirely different reason that you may not have picked up. :wink:

Also the cave IS NOT their hideout but their HOME, The Mammoth Cave Chain runs from both sides of this country as well as from north to south how hard would it be for some creature to use all the caves that make up Mammoth Cave or any other chain of caves to their advantage???

Mr 7magWoodsman No sir. I would absolutely not cast dispersions upon you or your character over a couple of beers. Alot of people partake from time to time without being an alcoholic. I did myself back in the day before the Lord took it away from me. And you should hear some of the things I used to see. But that would be a whole nuther forum. And if you say that you dont drink, I have no reason to doubt your word. I am a sarcastic and opinionated rascal, and while I was having a little fun at your expense, I do and will stand by my statement. Anyone that could absolutely provide prof of the existence of a new species would contribute tremendously to the study and understanding of that species. Perhaps we could learn to communicate with them. I understand scientist are already doing that with dolphins. No way to tell what great scientific and mabe even medical breakthroughs may come to pass. There is little doubt about it that when two different races ( species? ) learn to communicate, understand and trust each other, it is ALWAYS a positive thing for BOTH sides. If you dont see that , I will never convince you.
One other thing- If they do exist and are using the caves, there must be all kinds of prof and evidence in there that believers such as yourself could ram down the throats of us skeptics and shut us up. That is a challenge I have issued to other believers as well, but I aint chokin yet. :wink:

I want to thank you for your total disregard for an unknown species and your total lack of interest, I hope more people stay this way, that way at least one of Mother Earth's creatures can stay out of our hands and be free as was intended.

I used to be closed minded to this subject as well, and actually still am to an extent. I don't care if you believe it or not and I wish I had been drinking tea made from the mushrooms that grow from cow pies, because if I had been I would have a logical explanation for what I found.

Hey guys, Lets dont let this thing get out of hand. Mr 7mag as I have already stated I have never intended anything personal here. Let me say this, I DO NOT believe in bigfoot in any way or form. I do believe in active imaginations, mistaken identities, and I do believe that many of you DO believe. I have never called anyone a liar about this, and I wont.
As an example of mistaken identity and how our imaginations can play tricks on us, just the other day my wife and I were walking through a part of a national forrest near our home. It was about dusk when we heard a considerable noise on a ridge above us and there was alot of brush shaking and movement. Then my wife said she saw a large black "something" moving through the trees. She was convinced it was a bear. Now my wife is a country girl, she has seen bear before, and not given to hysteria about such things, but if any one had asked her she would have HONESTLY reported that she had seen that bear. Her bear turned out to be three wild turkey flying up to roost. Lots of noise, lots of movement, and she did see a dark shadowy something moving through the trees. Her imagination did the rest.
I also read this forum for the entertainment value and I probably will continue to poke little jabs at some of you from time to time, but please dont ever take personal offense at it, cause its all just in fun for me. I do not intend personal insult to anyone. Im just being your reality check.
Like I have said, give me proof instead of excuses and you might convince me. until then I choose to be skeptical about what some one else "believes" they have seen.
