just a quick thought, an added way of "marrying" the two actions may be to get some long pins and replace the existing ones by running the long ones through both actions....  just a thought.

I have been wondering how it is going also since reading this thread today.

I have been wondering about building a double rifle from a doner 12 ga db for some time. If it could be worked out? A reamer for the 12 ga bbl, tunn down the rifle barrels and get a set of threading dies built for the threading inside and outside threads,(male and female) for the mateing, and a regulator end clamp for POI with a front sight on it. It could accept barrel blanks from any acceptable caliber pressure wise. Something for a real gunsmith or dedicated hobbiest. I'm way short of trying it at this time though.

I'm interested in 357 max or 454 casul.

I hadn't heard Remington might offer doubles, inexpensively. That is real interesting also.

Talked to the EAA boys at the NRA convention last Sunday. The are the agents for Baikal again.Perhaps you could drop them a line and request it

Just screw and super glue the 2 rifles side by side and fill the gaps with bondo, carefully thin the stocks with a chainsaw and finish with a rasp and sandpaper and solder a arched nail over the 2 breakopen levers! 2 hours tops! Poof...double rifle!

The double rifle took a back seat to life.  I still have the parts and did get them put together but sheered apart on the first shot.  My first stock was not up to par.  Maybe one day soon I can get this going again.

Well if crazy ideas is what we are doing would it make any sense to get a strong double bbl shotgun and use the chamber section to hold 2 45-70 bbls ? Maybe a Winchester mod 24 or stevens 311 . The ruger redlabel has already been used for such . Factory loads would have to be max if they could be used at all
