Put a scope on a vent rib bbl??

saw a local ad for a 45/70 bbl(14 inch) with vent rib,can you put a scope on this?? how?? do you have to remove vent rib??special rings??thanks Scott

chances are this is a SSK barrel with their T'SOB mount w/ vent rib...I have put a reddot on a 45-.410 vent rib barrel using B-Squares vent rib scope mounts designed for shotgun ribs..the only other barrels I have seen with ribs have been the SSK barrels..you can check out their barrels at WWW.SSKINDUSTRIES.COM
