 Right now here in western MD., it's 0 degrees with the wind chill factor. A friend just called and told me he purchased a B.C. 45-70. Guess where this idiot's going...to camp, just to shoot. *packing 120z. antifreeze for after the shoot and a pickup load of fire wood.*

Ya! What's a little cold weather? Up here in Canada we are still swimming outdoors. It gets hard to swim though when the ice is thicker than 1/2 inch. ;D ;D ;D

How cold is it right now, Mclernon...we are at -15 here and a little breezy.  Don't think we made it above -10 here in MN today.  I'm about 30mi. south of St.Paul.

Hope your bud keeps the antifreeze to a minimum with the weather the  way it is... Hate to see someone get hurt or worse.. I  live about 45 mins from hagerstown. and the temp here is 9 with wind of minus 4 :o!!!

I live in South Carolina so I start complaining when the temp drops below 45 degrees.  My question is, is there a point where it's just darn cold and another 20 to 30 degrees colder is not really felt?  Is negative 20 more uncomfortable than 0 degrees?

That I'd call as a personal judgement call... For me anything below 60 is too dang cold ;D, but I have tolerated minus 3 with no winds while deer hunting but was in a pop-up blind... Those things surprisingly and be quite toasty, on cold days...

 Just got back from camp, woke up this morn. to 0 degrees, with wind chill -10 to 20 depending on if your were in the shade...lol...drank a cup off coffee, threw 3 rounds out the door, packed up and plowed through a foot of snow for a mile before hardtop. Thawing my old weary bones now. But, it was better than any day at work.

I feel your pain.  It only got up to 61 here in Double Oak today.  BRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. :o

Sluggo,sounds like a ditto of my weekend at camp in the so. tier of NY.hot wood stove,hot coffee and snow.Only thing I was lacking was my new handi(not here yet). :)

i dont now the exact temp today, but i was in a tshirt with the windows down, and not even chilly.  Nice change of pace after a month of snow and freezing every day.  Nice two days we had, cant wait till the crap starts again tommorow.

Going to be in the 30's in mid Tenn. today and here I am can't even stand on my on two legs Oh' well could be worse. At least the local range does have wheel chair positions for when the doc.'s do let me out. Wonder how much speed I can get in reverce when I touch off a 45-70. Just joking. The ol hip is felling better ever day.
