Found a 357 mag.
« on: January 31, 2007, 04:08:53 PM »
I finally found a NEF 357.   It was in the local shopper.  The fella said he wanted 250 for it and the scope.  I didnt ask any questions I figured it was a synthetic stock sb2.  Turned out to be a NEF limited edition.  It has the cinninmon laminated stock with straight comb and regular forarm  The but stock has the gold medalion inlayed into it.  The scope was just a tasco world class but hey thats ok.  I wrote the guy a check and took it to the house.   I didnt figure I could beat that price and the gun is like new.

Clean her up a bit ... and give us a range report as soon as possible. It sounds like you did real good on that one. A friend of mine bought a Tasco World Class for a .17HMR and he just loved it.

I think it improved It even mag and 38 spl. Great rifle in MHO. I don't think
you paid to much for it. I gave 211. and some pennies for mine. Then I had
to scope and rail ,hammer spur, rings. I do not know any thing about your
scope. Have fun enjoy, come back with range report. Marv.

Good for you GoneHunting, they are getting harder and harder to find. They are wonderful guns and those that have them are not usualy selling them. I think you did great for the package. As Marv says let us know how it works out. And be sure to try some .38's in it, they are blast to shoot out of it. I think .38 Special mid-range wadcutters, our old target practice rounds would make great target, fun, small game, and small varmint ammo....<><.... :)

Finally got to shoot my 357.  It shoots great.  Did a trigger job after I shot it some though because it was breaking at 7lbs.  I got it down to 3lbs I could have gone lower but I figured That was light enough since its just a hunting rifle.  Im ready to try some different loads and see just how accurate it is.
