Recoil pad for survivor stock??
« on: January 31, 2007, 12:10:41 PM »
Does anyone know if this stock comes with a recoil pad. I should have checked, if not what will fit it.  Haven't gotten it from H&R yet to look for myself. You guys are great, great forum, thanks for the help.
It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

It doesn't, it's just hard plastic. Someone used a Limbsaver slip-on on theirs, I don't remember what size tho, seems to me they got it at Walmart.

Yea you have to get a slip on. My .308 has a limb saver on it, and an uncle mike's elastic bullet holder on it too. Although the bullet holder is one heck of a stretch and after a year it seems to have lost its grip on shells.

The large Limbsaver slip-on pad fits the Survivor buttstock.
