Does anyone know if it matters how many new barrels you buy, as far as turnaround time?  I mean, does 2 barrels take twice as long?

this current turn around time is not normal, well within my recolection of the past 3 years.  I have gotten 5-6 week turn around time, shipping time included.  And have been unlucky with shipping due to weekends and holidays.  THey have usually been quoting 3-4 weeks without shipping.

How did they get this far behind all of a sudden.  I just sent one in last september, so between september and november something hit the fan.

One thing you will want to do, BEFORE sending in your receiver is to check with CS to make sure they HAVE the barrel(s) you want to have fitted in their inventory. bishopgrandpa must have ordered a barrel that is out of stock, and that may not be sceduled for production until February??? If your barrel is in stock, I would say 8-10 weeks at this time of year would be about right. This has to be their busiest time of the year, as far as the barrel program, not to mention they are trying to get the new 2007 production inventory up to speed. They still haven't got some of the 2006 3 barrel Combos ready yet.

dI just got back from the post office where I sent my reciever in for two barrels. Guess I will have to wait and see. They should be here in time for the praire pups to come out and play.  If not then I will shoot the ones I have home .
