Mac,
Google maps is an interesting tour. I just went to St. Louis, down on S. Broadway close to the Minnie Wood park and took a trip on streets I haven't been on in years... Meramec to Grand to Chippewa, to Kingshighway, to Natural Bridge to Florrisant Rd. to Ferguson, where I used to live. I was born at St. Louis Maternity, which I think is Barnes now, but we moved to Texas in 1952.
I saw Stan Musial play at the old Sportsman's Park on Grand. Went to the Highland Park and rode the old wooden roller coaster. Slater Martin and Bob Petite were common names from the Hawks then, but alas, the last time I was on the state streets, my uncle said you need a CCW to travel that area!

Places I used to run bare foot and play sandlot baseball with my two uncles (my bare feet always embarrased those city boys!) are no longer safe. My grandparent's house on Oregon was an old farm house, back in the 1800's, the only single story dwelling in the 4300 block, but now ...
I guess things change everywhere and the older we get, the more they change. Sometimes the changes bring sadness instead of joy.

Sorry for the trip down memory lane.
