Hellacatcher messed up today
« on: January 21, 2007, 05:17:51 PM »
Hellacatcher was taking a tree stand down yesterday and the thing came down quicker than he wanted, taking part of 1 finger with it and left him on his back with a fractured hip.His luck came back for little while because his cell ph. still worked and his wife took him to the hospital, and thats where he'll be for awhile.Looks like he'll be away from the computer for awhile, since it's upstairs but I told him we'll be thinking of him.
I gave him a really big scare when I told him we would probably bump him from the P.D. shoot.( that really woke him up) but he knew that I was just kidding. So if you're talking to the boss upstairs tonight put in a good word for old Paul, and maybe he'll get some devine help.      Digger

I'm new here but have had stuff like this happen to a few friends. I'll send some special thoughts to the big guy upstairs for him. Hope he heals FAST!

Digger,

Tell him to rest up, I will put in a word for him myself when I say mine.

A big thinks for the rayers and thoughts. It is great to have good friends. I am home now since tuesday got the comp. where I can use it but only can sat for a short time.
I did mess up in taking down a stand and now paying for it. Had to get the stand out  because of loosing the lease. If I had been hunting out of it would have had a harness on. The short version is I took the strap off that holds it to the tree and was easing down the latter when it twisted and threw me off. Little finger on left hand hung on something I have less than halve of it left. I fractured my left hip. About the only thing I did right was having my cell phone with me and people did know where I was. The good thing is I should be well in time for the P.D. shoot.
As a side note I did have my 45-70 and 44 was going to try out some cast bullets Mac had given me gusse that will have to wait. got to go have sat long enough.

Hellacatcher,

Glad to hear your home and doing OK, rest up and take it easy. Load up a bunch so you can give them PD grief when you get there.
